About the Role
Marcello's Ristorante is seeking a passionate Senior Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team. You'll work directly under our Head Chef, managing a team of 4 kitchen staff, and be responsible for prep, service, and maintaining our high standards of authentic Italian cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead kitchen operations during dinner service (Tuesday-Saturday)
- Menu development and seasonal specials
- Stock control and ordering from local suppliers
- Training junior kitchen staff
- Ensuring Food Safety Standards compliance
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years experience in Italian or European fine dining
- Strong leadership skills and cool under pressure
- Knowledge of Queensland Food Safety regulations
- Passion for authentic, high-quality ingredients
